Vote as much as you can, because if he can beat Theo, his terrible winner's single will be forced on the Canadian public for a day or two before it fades into obscurity. But that day will be funny. To me, the highlight of the evening was Mitch's rendition of the Bread classic, "If." Borrowing a line from the movie, "Amadeus":

One hears such sounds, and what can one say, but ..... Mitch McDonald.

I power-voted for Mitch with my landline and cellphone .... probably got a couple hundred votes in.
You know what? I actually liked Mitch last night. He had a few moments that were almost good. Theo was still irritating as hell. I think Mitch may actually win. He's got the East Coast, he's got us, and I think he may have a whole ton of votes from people that were fans of neither guy, just because his style of music is about 1,000,000 times less irritating than Theo's style of music. Mitch may be the worst, but Theo sure as hell ain't the best.

Seriously, he has a good voice and finally showcased it this week. Is it enough...?

I'm a songwriter (BMI 17 years) and I've watched American Idol, Australian Idol, X-Factor, New Zealand Idol, and Canadian Idol every season, and I can honestly say Mitch is the worst singer to EVER make it this far in any of those competitions (yes even worse than Taylor Hicks). Congratulations VFTW, no matter what happens, you have brought the steaming pile of musical misfortune that IS Mitch MacDonald a very long way! *tear* I'm verklempt...
