Jordin Sparks Pictures - Shadows Don't Lie

Posted by againstallodds on July 3rd, 2009 at 2:12 PM

Promo photos for Jorbacca's upcoming album Battlefield have surfaced online. You might be tempted to think Jordin looks great in them, but they're ridiculously photoshopped of course. The Wookie barely fits within camera range of a normal lens. But even with the expensive photoshopping done, the shadow in the second picture gives away the she-hulk's true form.

Eliza Siep's Blind Date

Posted by thefunnystone on July 3rd, 2009 at 7:12 AM

Maybe we were underestimating her VFTW potential? Here, American Idol 9 Chicago audition plant Eliza Siep is on an episode of Blind Date. In case you didn't see the last post, Eliza dated the lead singer of My Chemical Romance, and the fans of that band hate her. So she comes pre-packaged with her own hate club. Fun!

Ashley Ferl (Crying Girl) is at Los Angeles Idol Auditions

Posted by againstallodds on June 30th, 2009 at 1:35 PM

Yeah! Ashley Ferl, better known as Sanjaya's crying girl during season 6 of American Idol, is now 16 years old and is trying out for American Idol today in Los Angeles. Hopefully she does well, we would totally support her. Cry for us, Ashley!

UPDATE: We've heard from multiple places... Ashley didn't make it. What the fuck? They didn't even let her through to the judges at least? Lame.

Simon Cowell's negotiation tactics for his new contract with American Idol are apparently working. The New York Post reports that Simon is being offered between $100 million and $144 million a year to judge American Idol. Compare that to the measly $34 million he made judging the show last year. Since Idol makes about $900 million a year, is Simon worth 1/9 of the total profits? Probably. Even though he's a tool mouthpiece for the producers, we'd have no one to vote for if Simon wasn't telling the VFTW contestants that they're terrible and they should pack their bags and go home. Simon's hatred of a contestant is one of the biggest ways for us to decide who to vote for. If Idol wants to save money, they should just cut Randy and Kara out now, since no one listens to them. And pay Paula in even more drugs so she's extra loopy.

Hi Fi Says Adam Lambert Signed a Record Contract in 2008

Posted by thefunnystone on June 27th, 2009 at 8:09 AM

So back and forth goes the ping pong ball between Adam Lambert and Hi Fi Records. Hi Fi is set to release an album of Adam's tracks. Adam claims they were studio sessions where he recorded demos for other singers. Hi Fi releases a memo that says Adam wrote most of them. Adam then said that the songs were his own demos, that he didn't want them released, and that they didn't reflect the type of music he is now recording. All caught up now?

So now Hi Fi Records is saying that Adam Lambert signed a recording contract with them in 2008 (via MJ's Big Blog). Hi Fi is saying that it has a record contract signed by Adam on Feb. 12, 2008. If this is true, he probably wasn't out of the contract by the time he tried out for Idol in the summer of 2008, meaning he violated the terms Idol sets forth for the show's contestants (you can't have a current recording contract). So it's pretty obvious to assume why his old label is mad: Adam signed a contract with them, he decided it wasn't good enough for him, and he probably tried to get out of it by going on Idol.

We'll keep you updated on the drama, because watching Adam sqiurm over the old tracks is pretty funny. He recorded them one year ago, yet they now don't reflect the music he is currently working on? That's called being a sell out, Adam. If he did sign a contract with Hi Fi, then they have every right to release his music. Guess we'll see if the contract materializes soon.

Beasty Cash-Ho's money hungry family is back, and like cockroaches, they just don't die. Michael Castro tried out at the Dallas American Idol 9 auditions and he made it to the next round. Hopefully this is just so the producers can fuck with him and not let him through to Hollywood.

Jamar Rogers AND Michael Castro advancing? Idol may be trying to kill off their own show this year through douchebaggery. Could be interesting.
